Frequently Asked Questions About Stainless Steel Commercial Grills

What is a commercial grill used for?

A commercial grill, or commercial griddle, is used to cook food by grilling them. Commercial grade griddles feature a heavy duty robust design, and good quality commercial griddles will last around 10 years, depending on maintenance. Available as either a gas or electric griddle, commercial grills prepare any number of food items from breakfast to dinner. Countertop griddles sit on kitchen counters for efficient space usage.

What are the differences between sandwich presses and panini presses?

While both use ultra fast heat, usually feature ribbed plates, and typically feature a 'simply plug in and cook' system, there are a few differences between sandwich presses and panini grills. A panini press will apply weight to seal and toast the top and bottom of the bread, whereas a sandwich press features shaped and ribbed plates to cut the sandwich into shapes.

What are contact grills used for?

Commercial contact grills, also called panini presses, are heavy duty and stainless steel cooking appliances. They use direct heated plates and pressure to cook food quickly and evenly.
