CESA recently hosted a meeting at their London office to present their case to the WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) that proposed changes to their product approval scheme on combi oven water usage were moving too quickly and did not stand up to technical scrutiny.<\/p>\n

WRAS announced plans to change the product approval scheme criteria as it felt combi ovens that incorporate using fresh water to cool the appliance\u2019s wastewater fell under the \u2018undue consumption of water\u2019 law in the Water Supply Regulations and Byelaws act of 1999.<\/p>\n

The outcome of the meeting saw WRAS agreeing to postpone the changes and work more closely with CESA on this issue in the future. In response CESA agreed to investigate the volume of water used by combi ovens and steamers and will encourage manufacturers to develop equipment with reduced water consumption capabilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
